The Board of Management at Brightly are pleased to announce that Stewart Rowney has been appointed as Chairman of their Board following the retirement of Susie Pinel.
Previously a Trustee and Chair of Jersey Hospice Care, Stewart is currently a member of the Brightly Board and commented, ‘I am delighted to have been appointed as Chair to lead Brightly and their amazing, dedicated Board and a team of staff and volunteers to continue to develop the outstanding work that they do to support children and young people who are under the care of the Children’s Services in Jersey’. I am looking forward to working with a very talented Board and staff.

Originally from the Western Islands of Scotland Stewart has worked for several Blue-Chip engineering, property development, and investment companies throughout the world including a number of large teaching and university hospital facilities in the Middle East and the UK. He is CEO of the local project management consultancy company Rowney Sharman (Jersey) and is currently responsible for their operations in the Channel Islands and the UK. He has worked with a variety of international and local Boards and clients as a consultant across a wide range of business sectors managing the delivery of complex and challenging business and property projects.
He has three daughters and is a keen rugby fan and follower of Jersey Rugby Football Club, Stewart enjoys sailing and boating and loves to travel.
