We treat our donor information seriously. Please see our Privacy Policy.

100% of all donations made go directly to the children and young people that we support.

Please see our Privacy Policy.

If you are donating £50 or more and are a Jersey taxpayer, we can claim a further 25% of your donation back from the Government of Jersey Tax Office.

No we do not receive any funding from the Government of Jersey. Brightly relies totally on the generosity of the people of Jersey and funds are raised through fundraising events and other income streams such as corporates, grants and regular giving.

There are many ways in which you can support us:

  • Corporate gift matching: A great idea for companies is to match donations made by their employees.
  • Payroll giving: Employees love the option to give monthly through their employer.
  • Donate services: Not goods.
  • Register a team for a peer-to-peer event: ie: marathon or a bike-a-thon to support our cause. This could be just the thing if you have a particularly sporty or competitive company to take part in.

Typically it is Health and Social care professionals who make applications, but anyone who knows the child / young person / family well enough to articulate the need for funding and can advocate for them, may make an application.

If you are not sure, please do not hesitate to contact the coordinator 07797 890 448 or allison@brightly.je

There is also a list of grants available (click here).

The application is reviewed by a panel who do not know anything about the person you are applying for. Therefore you need to supply sufficient information to explain the situation, what the funding is for and why there is a need.

Receipt of your application will be acknowledged within 3 working days. How long processing will take, depends on the complexity of your application and if any further information is required.

This form is usually required when the application is for a child living within the family unit and the parents are in receipt of income support. It will not be required for children in care. You may send your application without this form and it will be requested if required.

To help stretch our resources Brightly is happy to buy most second hand goods, other than electrical items. Please contact the coordinator to discuss payment options – please note that using cash is not an option.

Quotes are only required for larger items like carpets.

It is important to include details of and an approximate cost for the item you are applying for.

Brightly liaises with a number of other charities and organisations and will put you in touch with one of those if possible.

Yes, although we try to support local business, this is not always possible or cost effective.
